Aliso Viejo is a city in Orange County, California. The city is a new city, it became Orange County's 34th city on July 1, 2001, the only city in the county to incorporate since 2000.

Aliso Viejo lies on the San Andreas Fault zone just like the rest of California. The city has faced so many earthquake activitiy in the past and slightly above California's earthquake activity average. Recently, there was an earthquake activity in Aliso Viejo in 1992 with a magnitude 7.6, occurred 80.4 miles, caused 3 deaths and 400 injuries, the earthquake caused $100.000.000 total damage and $40.000.000 insured losses.
The air quality in Aliso Viejo is better than California average with only 0.253ppm (Carbon Monoxide).
